Visions Room Day 1 workshop part 1 Connect with Compassion: Let’s do it together! In this workshop delegates will learn the benefits of: · Understanding our common humanity · Creating connected and caring relationships · Choosing more effective behaviour choices to improve the well-being of self and others and, · Working together to create a more connected world where all people feel they belong and are cared for. We know that millions of people around the world are living under threat, loneliness, anxiety, and depression. But we also know that thanks to decades of scientific research, we have the capacity to meet the challenge of creating a more compassionate world through connected and caring relationships. Current research in neuroscience reveals how our brains are hardwired to respond to caring relationships with ourselves and others – it improves our physical and mental wellbeing. The science shows that with compassion we become less lonely, less depressed, less anxious, become more and more open, more social, more connected, more compassionate, provides meaning in our lives and we can become healthier! Compassion is our superpower! Facilitators: Susan Fleming, Sue Berry and Maureen Sansom |
